Within each world, there are many possible worlds. And as in a game of mirrors, we can glimpse the threads that connect us and the bonds that sustain us. Faula is a new chapter in the ongoing exploration of the group and what we can build together. Towards the individual body and collective bodies, interdependence and mutual trust. Now we turn our gaze towards all that is fabulous, towards an amalgam of fantastic creatures, in a celebration of all that is extraordinary in us.
BACKGROUND
Roser López Espinosa has been active on the international stage since 2006 with productions including The Lizard’s Skin (Best Solo Award 11Masdanza), Lowland, Novembre, and Hand to Hand. In 2017 she created L’estol, a large-scale piece for the Catalan National Dance Production. In 2019 she premiered the group piece Trama at Mercat de les Flors, which won the Critics’ Award for Best Choreography.
In 2020 she collaborated with Skånes Dansteater (Sweden) for the third time, creating Fine Lines for the Europe Beyond Access inclusive dance programme.
In 2021 she created Cometa, a production for all the family co-produced by Vorpommern tanzt an (Germany), which has since been performed over 190 times worldwide.
She is a guest choreographer with international companies including Skånes Dansteater (Sweden), Scottish Dance Theatre (UK), Zagreb Dance Company (Croatia), MiR Company (Germany) and Conny Janssen Danst (Netherlands), and has collaborated with circus companies such as Circ Pànic, MuMusic Circus, INO Kollective (Catalonia) and the renowned Compagnie XY (France).
Her work has been presented at major festivals across Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
