A 6 x 6 metre platform, delimited yet infinite. Four performers and a robotic dog. A dialogue between the human and the artificial. A story told through movement.
Famulus 4.0 creates a physical and emotional universe in which the real and digital worlds collide. The piece explores the fragility of social bonds in an era of hyper-connection and automation.
Taking inspiration from the Latin term ‘famulus’ (servant) and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, it engages with contemporary narratives on artificial intelligence, technology and emotional connections in the digital age.
BACKGROUND
Since 2013, Iron Skulls has been investigating and innovating at the intersection of movement and the performing arts, combining Breaking with other disciplines to convey cultural values.
The company creates artistic universes that traverse the past, present and future, developing stage productions where innovation propels social and cultural transformation. Visual arts and technology are integral to their creative process.
