26.11
16:15h

An invitation to enter the kitchen where dance creativity boils in Catalonia.

This session opens the international platform with a look at our creative ecosystem: where, how, with what resources, with which agents… Catalan dance production is cooked. We will talk about a living and collaborative ecosystem that provokes and produces, and how companies move through the different layers of this ecosystem of production, residency or exhibition. A close and warm conversation to understand where the proposals that you will see in the coming days come from.

With: Sonia Fernández (Graner), Javier Cuevas (La Caldera), Leticia Martín (GREC Festival), Xavier Pujolràs (TNC), María José Cifuentes (Mercat de Les Flors) and Laia Alzueta (Canal de Salt).

Moderator: Júlia Vernet

Networks. From micro to macro.
Cal Reig
27.11
10:00h

Professional networks are a key tool for the growth of cultural industries and, in particular, a need for the dance: facilitate the movement of artists, access to shared resources and the construction of trusted communities. In this dialogue table we will explore, based on three practical examples, how different network models operate:

• Local (Catalonia): E3 Theatre Network
• National (Spain): Circuito Danza a Escena
• European: European Dance Development Network (EDN)

These experiences will serve as a starting point to open a collective debate around the role of networks as a whole: what needs do they respond to? What opportunities do they generate?, what are their limitations?, how can they evolve to strengthen the dance industry and expand its international projection?

A space for shared reflection that invites us to think about networks from the micro to the macro scale as engines of innovation, cooperation and sustainability in dance.
